Asthetikos: Beyond the Visible - this series captures not only the places and cultures Colinci has encountered, but also the subtle interplay of light, texture, and atmosphere unique to each destination. Central to the collection is an engagement with Abraham’s Light Theory—the idea that light does more than simply illuminate. Instead, it actively transforms perception, carrying an almost alchemical power to reveal while simultaneously obscuring, altering the very way we interpret what is before us, and the transformative nature of life, rooted in human evolution - highlighting the cyclitic and inpermanent nature of the world.

‘A fantastical journey beyond the imagination’

Aisthetikos

Colinci’s lightbox works bring Abraham’s theory to life. When the light is off, the image is fragmented—abstract graffiti-like strokes, partial reflections, and faint figures that hint at a deeper meaning. But when switched on, the full image emerges, as light reveals the hidden dimensions of the work, revealing intricate details, vibrant street-inspired colors, and complex reflections that were previously obscured. This constant interplay between light and shadow mirrors the theory's belief that light both reveals and distorts, creating an evolving relationship between the visible and the invisible, a subjective meaning of an empty space, symbolised by an empty chair.

In Colinci Realism, reflections play a central role in symbolising the layers of perception that shift with light. Whether captured in city scapes, water, or surealist images, these reflections embody the idea that reality is never fully revealed, but is instead constantly shifting in response to light’s transformative power. Just as light alters our understanding of the physical world, so too does it shift our internal realities—our moods, our interpretations, and our truths.

Asthetikos: Beyond the Visible invites the viewer to experience a deeper level of interaction with art, one that is always in flux. The exhibition encourages spectators to reflect on how light continuously transforms their perception of beauty and truth. Through his innovative lightbox installations, Colinci challenges them to look beyond the surface of his work—to see the complexity of what lies hidden in the shadows and to appreciate the beauty of what is revealed in the shifting light.

This exhibition, rooted in Colinci Realism and inspired by Abraham’s Light Theory, ultimately asks viewers to confront the impermanence of their own perceptions, urging them to embrace the transient nature of life, beauty, and experience. As light changes, so does their understanding of the universe—reminding them that the most profound truths often lie Beyond the Visible.

Once recognised as CreativeColin, Colin adopted the name Colinci—a title first coined by friends and colleagues as his artistic reputation grew. The change was made official in 2025, marked by the launch of the video that followed.
